Lois K. Alverson, age 92 of Longwood at Oakmont passed away peacefully on Friday morning September 22, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Irene and Frank Krien.  Beloved wife of the late Harry J. Alverson who predeceased Lois in 2009.  Loving sister of the late Frank (late Glenda) Krien and the late Edward (surviving Wilma) Krien.  Lois is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.  Lois spent her career working at McKeesport Hospital as a nurse anesthetist.

Her happiest days were spent traveling with her husband Harry. She will be remembered as a kind person, always being helpful to people, and somewhat of a storyteller.  She took good care of her brothers and loved her nieces and nephew, taking them on trips to New York City and Disney World.

Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139 on Tuesday September 26 from 11-12 where a funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Interment will be with her husband Harry at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, McKeesport.
