Lori Mittereder, 64, a native of Plum Borough, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025. She was born on July 18, 1961, to the late Walter Michael Willis and Beatrice P. Willis DeFazio.
Lori devoted 38 years of her career to Presbyterian Senior Care, where she was deeply respected for her compassion and dedication to the residents and families she served.
She shared 39 years of marriage with her husband, Robert Mittereder, building a life centered on love and family. She was a devoted mother to Ethan Max Mittereder, who meant everything to her.
Outside of work and family, Lori enjoyed golfing and practicing Pilates, activities that brought her relaxation, strength, and joy.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Mittereder; her son, Ethan Max Mittereder; her mother, Beatrice P. Willis DeFazio; her stepfather, Anthony DeFazio; her sister, Leslie Harrison; her nieces, Isabella Harrison and Payten Harrison; and her beloved dog, Charlie, her constant companion.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, Walter Michael Willis, and her brother, Michael Steven Willis.
She will be remembered for her quiet strength, kindness, and the care she gave so freely to others. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday December 21, 2025, from 2-6 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.
A funeral service will be held the following day on Monday December 22, 2025, 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Potter officiating.
