Carol Ann Manuel, age 81 of Etna, passed away peacefully on Friday morning May 5, 2023 with her son by her side. She was the daughter of the late Mary and Herbert Schoeneman and daughter-in-law of Elvira and James Sr. Manuel. Beloved and special mother of James Charles Manuel III, Gail Cavanaugh, the late Michael James Manuel, and the late Colleen Ann Manuel. Loving grandmother of Aiden James Cavanaugh and Preston Francis Cavanaugh. Sister of the late Philip (late Gerri) Schoeneman, late Herbert Schoeneman, late Dolores (late Spike) Turani, late Rosemary (late Andy) Lizanich. Sister-in-law of Patty Manuel. She was also the Aunt and Great-Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Carol loved animals, especially her dog Miss. Kitty and squirrels. She was known to swear, which carries on to parts of the family. Above all, Carol Ann always put her son James Charles and her grandkids first, before any needs of her own. There will be a celebration of life and inurnment of Carol's remains at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
