Mark Steven Kern

Mark Steven Kern, 63 of Herndon, VA and formerly of Penn Hills, passed peacefully on Tuesday May 26, 2026. Mark is the son of Judy Kern of Oakmont and the late Edward Kern. Loving brother of Edward Michael (Wendy) Kern and uncle of Jaxon and Sophia.

Mark had a passion for working out and fitness. He loved all sports including basketball and football. He was an avid Steeler's fan and had a personality that could light up a room, and the heart of gold to go with it.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday June 8, 2026 at 10:30 am. at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church of Holy Family Parish. Everyone please meet at the church.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh.

Luncheon will follow and will be announced at the cemetery.
