Mary Massabro, age 94 of Oakmont, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 5, 2025.  She was the daughter of the late Maria (Sangiacomo) and Raffaele Gallo.  Loving mother of Lori (Lars) Hummel, Maria Pollard, and Gina (significant other A.J. Vargo) Scampone.  Grandmother of Anthony, Sarah (Jordan), Gregory (Natalie), Michael (Monica), Gino, and Jeffrey.  Great-grandmother of Cecilia Taradash, James Taradash, Erik Hummel, Luke Hummel, and Josephina Scampone.  Sister of Leonard (late Janet) Gallo, and the late Andy (Rose) Gallo, late Lucy (Frank) Mazzei, late Carmella "Millie" (Joseph) Yacaboni, late Jenny (Richard) Miller, and the late Ralph (JoAnn) Gallo.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In Mary's later years, she worked at Giant Eagle in Verona.  She took a trip to Italy with some of her grandchildren and was able to use her Italian to speak to the people there.
Mary loved to travel to casino destinations.  She was a great dancer, singer, and enjoyed playing cards with friends.  She enjoyed baking, music, reading, Sunday family dinners, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  She was loved by so many for her kind demeanor and quick wit and will be missed by them all.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday January 9, 2025, from 3 - 7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.  A blessing service will be held Friday January 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.  Entombment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills.
