Mary E. Youk

Mary E. Youk, 95 of Verona passed away at home on Saturday October 3, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 24, 1931 to Katherine and Charles Shook. She was one of eleven children.

Mary said she hand picked the love of her life, John Youk when she was a junior in high school. They married in Texas while John was in the military on September 20, 1952. They were married until John passed in 2024, 71 years together.

She is survived by her beloved family, children Vicki Leasure, David (Linda) Youk, and John (Ada) Youk, Jr., grandchildren Michael (Rebecka) Leasure, Casey Youk, Anna Youk, and John Henry Youk III, great-granddaughter Sophia Leasure.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Leasure and Kelly Leasure.

Mary, (Ma) as she was known to many will be missed by all who knew her, her bingo buddies, Happy Hackers golf group, but mostly by her family who loved her dearly. Hope there are slots in Heaven, Mom.

The family will celebrate her life privately. The family held a graveside burial and blessing at St. Joseph's Cemetery where she is with John again.
