Wayne R. McGovern, 75 of Penn Hills passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home. Beloved Husband for 57 years of Barbara McGovern. Loving Father of William J. McGovern and Christy (Edward) Watts. BA of Connor Philpott and Cayleigh Watts. Brother of Karen (David) Smith and the late John M. (surviving spouse, Mary Alice) McGovern. Wayne retired after 28 years of service as a Zone 5 City of Pittsburgh K-9 Police Officer. He enjoyed collecting pens and night sticks. Friends and relatives will be received during a memorial visitation on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 3-7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont.
