Michael L. Insogna “Mick” passed away peacefully alongside his daughter and granddaughter on June 14, 2026. He was 84 years old.
Born on December 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Insogna. He was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Insogna (Teddy), and is survived by his brother, Gerard Insogna (Jerry).
He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Marisa Ciora, and cherished son-in-law, John Ciora, Jr.
He was a proud Pap to his granddaughter, Tori Angiolini, and warmly welcomed her husband, Corey Then, into the family.
In his final year, he was blessed with the arrival of his great-granddaughter, Gia Capri Then, who brought light to his last days.
He also shared a lifelong bond with his former wife, Mary Insogna. They remained the very best of friends, and the love and support they had for one another never faded.
In addition to his immediate family, Mick is survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends from Larimer Avenue, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
As dementia gradually changed Mick's life over the last seven years, one thing remained constant: the love between him and his daughter, Marisa. She stood by his side through every stage of this challenging journey.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary staff at Villa St. Joseph Memory Care, where Mick spent the last three years of his life. Although they never had the privilege of knowing him before dementia, they quickly recognized the gentle and loving spirit that defined who he was, caring for him as if he were one of their own.
To know Mick was to know generosity. He had an extraordinary gift for making people feel loved. His kindness knew no limits, his spirit was larger than life, and he never hesitated to help someone in need.
Although Mick touched the lives of countless people, nothing in this world meant more to him than his family. They were the center of his life, his greatest source of pride, and the love that defined who he was.
His legacy is remembered through the love he gave so freely, the lives he touched, and the kindness he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Now it is our turn to celebrate a life so beautifully lived and a man so deeply loved.
To know you was truly to love you, Mick.
