Michael Pappa—Nessy, Mike, or as he preferred, just Pappa, age 37 of Shaler and formerly of Oakmont, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 13, 2025. He was cherished by everyone who knew him. No matter what name you knew him by, he created a place in your heart that no one else will ever fill.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Amy M. Pappa, and his grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah; his parents, Louis and Lesley; and many beloved family members.

Pappa leaves behind a legacy of fierce loyalty, a beyond-infectious laugh, and the kind of phone call you could make at any time of day, about anything—and his response would always be, without fail: "I'll be your Doug." Pappa was as go-with-the-flow as they come, living life to the fullest with his friends and family. He will be missed more than words can convey.

Friends and family will be received on Friday July 18, 2025, from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturday July 19 from Noon - 4 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.  A prayer service will conclude Saturday at 4 p.m. led by Sarah's Father, Deacon Charles Cruikshank.
