Michael Van Stewart, age 60 of Monroeville and formerly of East Liberty, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 25, 2025 at Forbes Regional Hospital.  He is the son to his beloved late mother, Helen Stewart.  Nephew of the Dialoiso family and several nieces and nephews.  He was considered "Uncle Mikey" to everyone that loved him.  Dedicated and longtime friend to Kimberly Talarico and her children and family.  Also survived by his close colleague and friend, Lamont Chapman.

Michael loved to cook.  He enjoyed all music, loved to dance, and was very spiritual praying before every meal.

He managed First Student school bus company and was a Colonel at the Allegheny County Sheriff's Reserve.  He will be remembered for his contagious laugh.  Heaven is now a little brighter and sassier because of Michael.

There will be a Celebration of Michael's Life at a future date.
