In Loving Memory of Nancy Margaret Callahan (1939–2025)

Nancy Margaret Callahan, 86, born Nancy Margaret Johnston to Harriett Mae Spragg and Willard Johnston, of Wellsville, OH, passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was a retired nurse, proud supporter of the battlin' buccos, and most importantly, a loving mother and "Nana" to those lucky enough to be one of her precious angels. She loved reading and writing poetry, as well as learning and teaching about the human body. She believed in kindness above all and had an uncanny ability to bring joy and light into whatever room she walked into.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly (husband Rich) and Kathleen, five grandchildren (Stephen, Talyn (husband Kevin), Kierney, Vincent (wife Maria), and Hunter), great-grandchild (Eliana (and her future brother!)), brother, Jim Spragg (wife Robyn) as well as a host of extended family and friends who adored her.  Preceded in death by a brother, Gary Johnston.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday June 19, 2025, from 2-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.  A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday June 20 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Tim Williams officiating.  Interment to follow at William Penn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dementia Society of America https://www.dementiasociety.org/donate , an organization that meant a great deal to her.
