Paul Robert Rubel, age 77 formerly of Oakmont, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 20, 2025, at the Heinz VA Hospital in Aspinwall.  Son of the late Paul and Fern Rubel.  Preceded in death by his cousin Larry.  Paul is survived by dear friends Harry Helwig, Joe Tomas, Tom Alberti and many others.  This group liked to get together at McDonalds in the morning, the Pittsburgh Mills Mall in the afternoons, and the former Frosted Mug in Cheswick on Friday nights.

Paul graduated from Oakmont High School in 1965.  He entered the Army in 1967 and went to Vietnam serving in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1969.  He lived in Oakmont all of his life and worked at Center Auto Parts.

Friends are invited to pay their respects to Paul on Sunday March 23, 2025, from 4 - 6 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial at Deer Creek Cemetery in Russellton with military honors.
