Mabel C. Pratt, 94 of Arnold, Cheswick, and Springdale passed away on March 29, 2023 at the Willows Presbyterian SeniorCare in Oakmont. Born on October 23, 1928 in Arnold, she was the beloved daughter of the late Carl and Lucy (DeMark) Pratt. She is survived by her adopted and devoted family, Robin Gourley (former spouse, Michael Gourley), and their daughter, Alexandra Gourley. Mabel was a graduate of Arnold High School class of 1946, where she became a member of the National Honor Society in 2011. She worked at several companies but ultimately was employed at Gulf Research for many years as an executive administrative assistant. She was a member of the Gulf Research Center Annuitants Association. Mabel was a gifted piano teacher for 22 years. She was so excited to have played in Heinz Hall's Grand Lobby for Robin and Michael's wedding at age 60 and was very proud to be an accompanist for the Gulftones. Mabel was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crafts, cooking, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her friends. She enjoyed live theater, art museums, traveling (especially abroad)-having taken cruises on all major cruise liners. Most of all, she loved being involved in and being an active part in the developmental years of her "adopted granddaughter," Alexandra Gourley. Friends and relatives will be received on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. A blessing service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
