Duane Robert Reel
1947 – 2022
War hero and veteran, Duane R. Reel, son
of the late Duane I. Reel and Bernadette Wike from
Pittsburgh went to be with the Lord
on Jan. 29th at his GA winter home.
Devoted husband of Charlene Reel for 35+ years,
father of Jennifer Clifton-Sullivan (Mark) and Chris
Clifton, grandfather of Courtney and Tyler Sullivan. Also,
survived by his beloved brothers and sisters John
Reel, Kenneth Wike Jr, Susan Rimmington (Derek) and Sandi
Robshaw (Bill); his many nieces and nephews. Duane held
an MBA, was a retired Kraft/Nabisco executive and
an entrepreneur at heart. Duane was a 101st
Airborne, Screaming Eagle pilot who received the prestigious
'Distinguished Flying Cross' for bravery and heroism. He
lived a generous and humble life. Viewing will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 9-10:30 a.m. at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. Funeral service and burial will be private. Family requires masks and social distancing during visitation.
