Richard "Rich" Green, 78, of Verona, PA, peacefully passed away at home in the early hours of Monday, March 3, 2025.

Rich was born on March 19, 1946, and raised on Centre Avenue in North Oakland, PA, as the only child of Norman and Helen (Dodds) Green. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 52 years, Carolyn (Miller) Green, his daughter, Kimberly (Robert) Guigley, of Ladera Ranch, CA, and sons, Jeffrey (Randi) Green of Mount Lebanon, PA, and Corey (Dena) Green of Bend, OR, and his six grandchildren: Keegan, Callahan, Brynn, Mallory, Emerson, and Ariya.

Rich graduated from Central Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh and was employed for most of his career at M&M Mars. In Rich's younger years, he enjoyed softball and racquetball and was a weekly staple on Friday nights at the Eagles in Verona. Rich was an extremely dedicated Pittsburgh sports fan, never missing the chance to yell obscenities at the television while enjoying every single Steelers, Pens, and Pirates game. He also never missed one of his children's sporting events, and there he kept his temper and mouth in much better check!

Rich especially loved music, the Eagles being his favorite, and anytime his kids were at home he insisted they watch an Eagles concert he had on video. He also loved watching television, especially reality television, knowing far too much about all the infamous reality stars.

Rich will be remembered fondly for his foul mouth and hot temper... he was known to throw golf clubs into trees while attempting to golf. Somehow golf never stuck as a hobby.

Friends and family will be received on Friday March 7, 2025 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.

A blessing service will be held on Saturday March 8, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
