Warren Riddinger, 90, of Calabash, NC, formerly of Penn Hills entered his eternal home on Saturday, June 25, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Stanton) Riddinger and the beloved father of Deborah (Bill) Beatty, Patricia (Carl) Hindman, Valerie (Bob) Swearingen, and Bob (Mary Alyce) Riddinger. Preceding him in death were his siblings Blair Hildebrand, Hannah Bender, and Sara Smith. He leaves behind a legacy of nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Warren was a former member of the Monroeville Church of the Brethren where he was a lay Pastor, an Elder, a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher. After moving to Calabash, he attended Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church where he was a Covenant Partner and an avid storyteller. As a dedicated and versatile high school coach and athletic administrator, Warren served the Oakmont and Riverview School Districts for 31 years. He started the Oakmont High School girls basketball program, served as assistant football coach, assistant track coach, Athletic Director and golf coach. He also served as the head of Oakmont and Riverview Math departments for many years. While attending Slippery Rock State Teachers College, he was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity and was also a member of the football team. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, traveling to new places, listening to gospel music and putting together jigsaw puzzles; but what he cherished the most, was spending time with his family. Friends and relatives will be received on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 6-8pm and on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 10am at the funeral home. A private Interment will be held at Richland Cemetery, Johnstown, PA, following the funeral service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Boys Town, 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, NE 68010.
