Ronald W. Jeffery

Ronald W. Jeffery, age 79 of Verona, passed away on Sunday August 9, 2026 at the VA in Aspinwall. Born in Pittsburgh, PA and long time resident of Penn Hills, he lived a life marked by perseverance, hard work, and devotion to the people and interests that mattered most to him.

He proudly served in the Marines and later spent many years working at Edgewater Steel in Oakmont. Throughout his life, he was known for his strength, determination, and resilience.

He had a lifelong love of music and was passionate about weightlifting and physical fitness. Even later in life, the gym remained an important part of his routine and something that brought him great enjoyment.

Above all, he valued his family and the time spent with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Surviving are his wife Rose M. Jeffery, his daughter Carol (Angela) Jeffery-Sugarek, Grandchildren Landon and Leland Sugarek, siblings Jeanette (late Walter Jr.) Matthews, Karen (Frank) Jeffery-Grimes, Richard Jeffery, Carl (late Lynne) Jeffery, the late Dianne (late James) Cowher, late Lynn (late Armando) Meneses, late Randall (surviving Berta) Jeffery. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Betty Jeffery.
