Robert ‘Bobby’ Vilardi was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 24, 1949 to Frank and Dorothy Vilardi. He was the third of six Vilardi children and at various times during his younger years, Bobby would spend significant time with his maternal grandparents, Bob and Gonnie Haaker, whom he loved and was loved by. His father was in the construction trades and Bobby followed his path working as a carpenter and contractor in his adult life and was proud of his broad range of skills; a veritable do it all kind of guy.
He was married once to Kate and this was perhaps his happiest times, as his life was marred by the head winds of self-doubt and many self-imposed challenges. These challenges subdued the sweet and kind traits he always possessed, and he never truly achieved his full potential.
We will always remember his mischievous and funny side, his love of animals and his many skills. Bobby was pre-deceased by his mother Dorothy (1996), father Frank (1999) older brother Frank (1978) and sister Pamela (2026). In the sadness of his passing, we are comforted knowing that he is now at peace and sitting at the side of his mother, grandparents and siblings whom he loved dearly.
