RUTH "BUBBLES" ELIZABETH REGAN

Ruth Elizabeth Regan passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth was affectionately called Bubbles by everyone who knew her.  She was born on September 19, 1932, to the late William and Hilda Regan. Preceded in death by her brothers James, William, Thomas, Robert, Ernest Regan along with her beloved sisters Frances Stockey, Patricia Gefert, and Geraldine Hanlon.  She is survived by her loving sister, Arlene Omasits, sister-in-laws, Dolores and Dorothy Regan, brother-in-laws Leon Gefert and Matthew Hanlon along with many nieces and nephews.

For 40 years Bubbles worked for Verizon (formally Bell Telephone).  She started as an operator (#91) and was elected as President of Local 1944, the representative of all Verizon operators in PA.  She was very proud of her hard work between union members and management.

Bubbles will forever be remembered for her humor and wit.  She could make family, and strangers laugh out loud at her insightful, funny remarks.

Family was also treasured by her.  She hosted Thanksgiving and yearly Super Bowl parties for all her extended family and friends.  Everyone was always welcomed in her home.  She will be deeply missed but comforted that she is now at peace.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, 11:00 AM. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. preceding the mass at Holy Family Parish - St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Verona. In honor of Bubbles, please wear the Pittsburgh shirt she designed.  Extras shirts will be provided before church if you are in need of one.
