Betty Mae Schweitzer passed away on January 27, 2023, in her 99th year. Born October 4, 1923 to John Heinauer and Martha Heinauer-Fulton. Wife of William Schweitzer and mother of Dorothy Gillespie and the late William Jr. She was retired from the East Liberty Presbyterian Church. Betty loved playing golf, was a bridge player, and a bowler. She received the "Good Egg Award" for her years of work with the Easter Egg project at Epiphany Lutheran Church. She leaves behind her daughter, Dorothy; daughter-in-law Linda; three grandchildren, James Gillespie, Jr., Amanda Hursen and Elizabeth Childs; three great-grandchildren, Timothy and William Hursen and Alice Childs. Special Aunt to Wayne and Carolyn Lehman. Predeceased by brothers John, Harold, Robert, and sister Sally. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 701 Allegheny River Blvd., Verona, PA 15147.
