Steven Anthony Jones

The world has lost a vibrant, eccentric soul who spent his final days embracing love, nature, generosity, and the simple moments in life. Steven Anthony Jones, age 54 of Verona, PA, passed suddenly on Friday, November 6, 2026. He was the son of the late Sheila and James Jones who lived in Michigan. Husband of Sandra Yarosz. Son-in-law of Diane and Edward Yarosz. Loving father of Amber (Nathan) Lohman, Noah Jones, and Paige (Kendall) DeBoer. Loving stepfather of Peter Mortensen and Reanna Mortensen. Beloved grandfather of Theron, Benjamin, and baby boy DeBoer. Steve previously lived in Lakeland, Florida and was born in Holland, Michigan.

In his final months, Steve told family that life is all about spreading love and peace. We can honor his time on this planet with small acts of kindness and moments of reflection. Feel the wind blow across your face as you take a walk in the beauty of fall in the woods. Listen to your favorite song and really feel the music in your body and soul. Share a pot of coffee with your loved one and discuss life with them while putting your phone aside. Steve also enjoyed art and antiques, and he spent a lot of his life curating pieces of history that tell a tale of days long gone, but serve as a reminder of the beauty human hands can create. He also enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and Italy, visiting amusement parks, and riding roller coasters.
