Suzanne K. Stewart of O'Hara Township passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024, after a long battle with dementia.  She was born 1949 in Franklin Township, Greene County, PA.  Survived by her husband of 51 years Donald "Don" Stewart; Sister Barbara (Dan) Motto; brothers James (Lisa) Kelley and Harry Lee Kelley plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Suzanne was a 1992 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Master of Library Science degree.  Suzanne and Don met in 1970 while both were attending Penn State University. They were married at the Hickory United Presbyterian Church in 1972.

Suzanne enjoyed arts, literature and music and collected an extensive library of art history and rare books as well as fantasy and science fiction books.  She was a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism and looked forward each summer to attending the Pennsic War encampment at Coopers Lake in Slippery Rock, PA.

A lifelong Anglophile, she and Don made many vacation trips to England where they visited a wide range of churches, cathedrals and ancient ruins, not to mention numerous pubs. As a lover of music, she taught herself to play the guitar in High School. She was also fortunate to attend the Woodstock Music festival in 1969 with her lifelong friend Laurie.  From 1976 to 1982 Suzanne and Don hosted a freeform music program called The Saturday Matinee on WYEP community radio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to her favorite charities: Animal Friends or the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday March 19, 2024, from 12 - 2 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.  Green burial to follow at Penn Forest Natural Burial Park, 121 Colorado St. Verona, PA 15147.
