On Sunday April 13, 2025, Timothy Lee Bilotto, 69, of Verona PA passed away peacefully following a brief illness with his family at his side. Tim was born in Rochester PA on March 30, 1956. He is the son of the late Joseph Bilotto and the late Louise Nunzir Bilotto. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Shaffer Bilotto. Younger brother of Thomas Bilotto. Cherished son-in-law of Wayne and Lorraine Shaffer, brother-in-law of Mark Shaffer, Susan Shaffer and Matthew Shaffer. Dear uncle of Adam Shaffer (Lindsay) Justin Shaffer (Chrissy) and Rebecca Moore. Great Uncle of Kennedy Shaffer and sisters, Flora, Juniper and Magnolia Shaffer. Nephew of Tina Bilotto, also many dear cousins from the Nunzir and Bilotto families.
Tim grew up in Monaca PA and spent his youth with pastimes like riding dirt bikes and managing the high school basketball team. He graduated from Center High School in 1974 and recently celebrated his 50th reunion. After receiving his BA from the University of Pittsburgh Tim worked with special needs children, as a driver delivering nuclear medications for specialized testing to western PA hospitals, and at a variety of manufacturing and sales jobs. He found his true occupation working as an electrician and carpenter. He retired from his own business in 2023. He had a talent for carpentry, but a friend once commented that he also demonstrated artistic talent with his electrical skills.
Tim met his wife, Cathy in 1982 when they both worked with special needs children in a school in Crafton PA. They married on October 8th 1983, and had 41 fabulous years together, camping, traveling, attending musical events and spending time with friends and family.
Music was Tim's driving force every day. When he first heard Cajun/zydeco music, he caught the dancing bug and soon learned a variety of dance styles. He attended many music festivals, his favorite being Rhythm and Roots in Charlestown RI. Tim enjoyed playing music, listening to music and dancing to music.
