William "Bill" R. Charlesworth Sr., one day shy of his 84th birthday, passed away peacefully at his Verona home surrounded by his family on Thursday May 14, 2026. He was the son of the late Sarah and Arthur Charlesworth. Beloved husband of 61 years to Donna (Zentz) Charlesworth. Loving father of Denise (John) Walsh and William (Elaine) Charlesworth, Jr. Grandfather of Brandy Lynn (Tony), Evan (Gianna), and Travis (Gina). Great-grandfather of Olivia and Rowan. Brother of the late James and Brenda.

Bill worked formerly at Edgewater Steel as a crane operator for over 30 years. He was a fireman for the Verona Fire Department, a member of the Verona Eagles, and was a member of the American Legion Post 351. He proudly served in the Air Force serving during the Vietnam War era, working on the hydraulics of the Titan II missiles.

Bill cherished his lifetime with his love, Donna, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

The family will hold a Celebration of Life in the future.
