William "Bill" Edward Novakovic, Jr., age 80 of Oakmont passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 4, 2025 at the Oakland VA Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Son of the late Mary and William Novakovic Sr.  Loving husband of Lynn (Merkiel) Novakovic of 42 years.  Loving father to Julia (Josh Gruenberg) Novakovic, Bob (Lauren) Novakovic, and Billy (Rebecca) Novakovic.  Grandpa of Lev, Ellie, Joe, Charlie, and Gus.  Brother of Robert (late Kathleen) Novakovic.

Bill was a proud 1st Lieutenant artillery combat officer, serving his country proudly in the Army during the Vietnam War.  He then began his history teaching career and loved reading and always continued learning.  He was also a boy scout troop leader, soccer coach, and eventually started his own landscaping company.   He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Friends and family will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139 on Saturday March 8, 2025 from 4 - 8 p.m. and on Sunday March 9, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A blessing service will be held on Monday morning March 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

Interment with military honors will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
