William J. McElligott, Jr. 84 of Oakmont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 24, 2026 surrounded by his family at the V.A. Hospital of Aspinwall.
Son of the late Florence and William J. McElligott, Sr. Beloved husband of Maureen "Mary" C. (Higgins) McElligott of 58 years. Loving father of Christine McElligott, William S. McElligott, and Erin McElligott. Grandfather of Luke, Liam, and Piper Grace. Brother of Frank (Carol) McElligott, the late Danny, Sally, Taddy, Mike, and Tom. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family will be received on Friday March 27, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont PA 15139.
Entombment with military honors to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
