Sean Russell Truby

Supervisor/Funeral Director

Sean graduated from Riverview High School in 2005, Point Park University in 2009, and The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2010, where he served as Class President. He has been a licensed Funeral Director at Burket-Truby since 2011. Sean also has his insurance license to assist in pre-need counseling. Sean resides in Oakmont with his wife Amanda and children Isla and Heath. Sean chairs the Len Anderson Christmas Fund with his wife Amanda and mom Janice, is a member of the Memorial Day planning committee, member of the Verona-Oakmont Cemetery Board, and a past board member of the Riverview Athletic Association.

Shea E. Truby

Funeral Director

Shea is a graduate of Riverview High School, Class of 2002, Pennsylvania State University, Class of 2006, and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, Class of 2007. She has been working as a licensed funeral director since 2008. She is devoted to the funeral industry and considered it a gift to work with alongside her father, Russ every day in their close-knit family business, along with her brother, Sean.

She and her husband Jim reside in Oakmont with their young daughter, Brooke. They are members of Holy Family Parish (St. Irenaeus Catholic Church), where she volunteers with the fish fry, a former longtime board member of the Oakmont Chamber and the Oakmont-Verona Rotary. While not working, she enjoys walking, golfing, attending and assisting with her daughter's sporting events, cheering on Penn State Football, and all Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers and Pirates.

Kimberly Cramer

Funeral Director/Preneed Counselor

Kimberly A. Cramer is a 2002 graduate from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, receiving a A.S. with honors in Mortuary Science. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Life Insurance Agent in the state of Pennsylvania.

Kate Cheman

Funeral Director

Kate grew up in Frazer Township and attended Deer Lakes High School. She is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a 2012 graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She has been licensed since May 2013 and has held various positions in funeral service including management, preneed insurance sales, and ownership. Knowing firsthand the value of open casket funerals, Kate now devotes herself full time to provide families with the opportunity to have a positive and peaceful last memory. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and a past member of the Oakmont-Verona Rotary. She is honored to work with the wonderful closeknit community of Oakmont and for one of the best family owned funeral homes in the area.

Nicole Snatchko

Funeral Apprentice

Nicole Snatchko is an In-Sight Certified Celebrant, Certified Cremation Operator, and Certified Cremation Services Provider. A student at Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, she is working on getting her Notary Public and expanding her career in Psychology to specialize in grief and bereavement to better help families she serves, including the American Academy of Grief Counseling’s Certified Grief Counselor course completion.

Born outside the suburbs of Pittsburgh International Airport, Nicole proudly served in the military and her community as a combat medic, EMT, and 911 dispatcher for over a decade combined. She participated in community events, veteran events, and being a part of the natural disaster response for Hurricane Florence in North Carolina in 2019. She enjoys fishing, making homemade pierogi, and spending time with her daughter, Layne. Nicole truly prides herself in being a “jack of all trades”, and willing to learn something from everyone she comes across. If you see Nicole, say “hello” and she will happily conjure a warm conversation, and maybe you will get to hear her southern drawl!

Keith Osbourne

Funeral Assistant

Keith is retired from PNC Bank, where he ended a 42 year career in the financial services industry. Keith and his wife Joanne, have been residents of Penn Hills for 36 years. They have two children and four grandchildren. Keith has given his spare time to the volunteer fire service, church finance council, institute of financial education, chamber of commerce, parent-teacher organizations, band boosters and Rotary Club.

Ray Suchevich

Funeral Assistant

Ray is married to his wife Kim of 32 years and is the father of Emily and Rachael. He is retired from the PA Turnpike after 33 years of being an equipment operator trainer. He's still an active firefighter with the Verona Volunteer Fire Co. where he spent 23 years as the Chief. He is also currently on Verona Borough Council where he is serving as President.

Tony Antonacci

Funeral Assistant

Tony was born and raised in New Kensington, the youngest of 3 of an Italian family. He graduated from New Kensington High School and attended classes at Penn State University. He’s been married for over 35 years.
When he was young became a Butcher, then sold Insurance. His dream was to own a deli and he did have that opportunity, at Main Street Deli, for over 10 years. He was the Manager of the New Kensington Parking Authority and then finished his career as a Toll Collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission for the last 15 years retiring in June of 2011.
Tony enjoys going to flea markets and garage sales on Saturday mornings. His greatest vacation was his trip to Italy! He is always trying to keep busy, and being a people person, he is always there to lend a helping hand to his family, neighbors and friends.

Stephen Truman

Maintenance

Stephen Truman is a resident of Penn Hills, and currently back home from serving as a missionary to Germany.

He is a faithful attender at Renaissance Church in Friendship, as well as involved in ministry throughout the Pittsburgh area.

Before going to Germany, he worked down the street at Hoffstots Cafe Monaco where he began to appreciate what the restaurant meant to the town of Oakmont.

While he is back from Germany, Stephen is enjoying being able to work and be part of the community once again.

He is happy to assist the Truby family in all aspects of the business.

Janet is a retiree of Verizon where she met and married her husband, Wayne, a longtime resident of Oakmont. Janet joined Burket-Truby in October 2011 shortly after Wayne passed away. She volunteers in various capacities at her church and is a member of the Oakmont Lions Club.

Judy Ferguson

Judy is a long-time "Oakmonter" She graduated from St. Francis General Hospital School of Nursing and completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree at La Roche College. She was employed as a registered nurse at Presbyterian Senior Care for many years and served as Director of Nursing for ten years. Presently, she is President of the Governing Board of Riverview Community Action Corporation.

Mary Helen has been with the Staff Since January 2012. She resides in Penn Hills with her husband Joe. I like working for Burket-Truby because I feel it is my ministry. It gives me great pleasure to greet grieving families with a much needed warm smile. I enjoy the serenity of being surrounded by beautiful paintings, furnishings, and blooming gardens. Working here is like a home away from home because the Truby's treat their staff like family.

She is devoted to the funeral industry and considered it a gift to work with alongside her father, Russ every day in their close-knit family business, along with her brother, Sean.

Kimberly A. Cramer is a 2002 graduate from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, receiving a A.S. with honors in Mortuary Science. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Life Insurance Agent in the state of Pennsylvania.

Kim’s prior experiences in the funeral profession, have given her the understanding and benefits of preplanning one’s funeral. She is passionate about her profession and helping families give a lasting gift of love to their family in preplanning funeral arrangements
